I recently bought a Luna Dolphin Electroacoustic.
I like it, but I really think too much of that $400 went to the shitty dolphin and moon inlays... The fret job isn't too good either.

I can possibly bump my spending range up to $500 if it's worth my while.

I want something more traditional.

Mainly to be used for playing Doc Watson type songs, and chordsy stuff like The Devil Makes Three.

Can you guys suggest something?

It would be a plus if it were ElectroAcoustic, but it's not a must.

I can always add that later right?

I appreciate the help!

Also, I think I should add, the reason I bought it in the first place was because It resonated well with rich lows and highs.

if you can find one used, blueridge dreads should deliver the tone, all solid wood and the value you're looking for. keep an eye open for the br-140ce or the br-160ce

or you can always go with either a new blueridge br-140

or a recording king RD-10

both of which have solid sitka tops over solid mahogany bodies, a 1 11/16" nut and traditional tone. add a pickup yourself - something like the pure western mini - and you're all set.

you might also keep an eye out for used guild dreads or all solid martin dreads.

I want a martin! Which models would be less than $525 used?

mostly the martins that will be under $525 used would be the 15 series and the 1 series - and the x series, which are not solid wood.
