This is an original song. I came up with the name before I was even aware of a Lou Reed/Metallica collaboration lol.

Here's the Lyrics!

The View -

Can you tell the difference between good and evil?
Do you know right from wrong?
Do you think that there's still some love in this world?
Do you think the love is all gone?

Well, I say.

Do we think, do we know?
Have we lost all control?
Do we love, do we hate?
Don't we always demonstrate,
that there's right and there's wrong,
that there's weak and there's strong,
that we're all gonna die,
so we cheat and we lie,
and we force ourselves to live unhappy lives.

Staring into the mirror and into my eyes
Looking into my reflection, it makes me realize
That though I was young you don't have to be old
To view this world as if it were so cold.

Is it true, is it false?
Are we here or are we lost?
Do we fall, do we fight?
Should we try to do what's right?
Can you tell me where we oughta go,
Is it safe or somewhere we won't know?
If we keep on fighting, we'll end up in the past.
Just tryin to figure out where we started at.

Staring into the mirror and into my eyes
Looking into my reflection, it makes me realize
That though I was young you don't have to be old
To view this world as if it were so cold.
.

Lemme know what you think
I'd be happy to C4C!
"CHOOSE YOUR FATE AND DIE!!"

I love the contrast between different sections, and there are some great lyrical groups in there. It was good to hear a recording while reading through the lyrics, it really helped to get an idea of the intention of the song as a whole. Some of the lines in the fast bits were a bit naff i.e."Do we love, do we hate, Don't we always demonstrate", just seemed a tad forced, but the rest of that section had a nice feel to it.

Good work dude!
If you could crit mine, too that'd be tops! https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1483999

That section sometimes feels forced. Thanks for pointing this out, I might be able to look at the lyrics and see if I can make them flow smoother.

I'll definately look at your work!

I agree, and really enjoyed the contrast between the different sections.
The one starting with "Do we think, do we know?" was definitely my favorite, I like the way it flowed straight through the whole verse until the end.
Check for "Taking a Picture (Won't capture this)

It was good! Very good, sounds like a radiosong to me. Just work on your vocal skills.
