Holy shit, score! Who trades a USA Gibson Flying V for a Chinese amp? I could see the USA made head, but not the combo.

Also, I own the combo.

That is an awesome deal, even if the guitar is 10 years old.

I can't decide if I want a Flying V or a Hagstrom Viking for my next guitar.

They're pretty equal in value. The Gibson is worth a little more. Someone trading a 6505 head for a flying V would be getting massively ripped off though.

HNGD TS You should put up a review or something though.

Probably, but Gibson USA costs like $5000 in Australia, and Hagstrom (China) doesn't cost $1000 if you find a good deal. I don't think I need to spend 5 grand to get a great guitar.

No way, Peavey 6505+ combo $400 used on CL or guitar center, Peavey 6505+ head $800 used on ebay, but I've seen them with the stack for that much on CL. Gibson Faded V $800 eBay and GC, though I saw one at a pawn shop once for $700, probably coulda talked him down a bit.

Personally, I think the head is better value for the money, but the Flying V is an awesome guitar as well and holds it's value better.

You may not get one for $400 (though I've seen it, browsing ebay completed listings), but you're definitely overpaying if you pay $800. They seem to go for around $600, usually. So yeah, my bad.
