I've seen these new Fender "Modern Player" series on Musician's friend lately. Now at first it just looked like a buncha hot rodded tele's and jaguars. But then something caught my eye. An H-H JAZZ BASS. Now, I love me a jazz bass, and I love humbuckers (they kinda look like the ones on music man basses). So what do you think of this combo? Yay or nay? I'm thinking about investing in one..

Finally these last couple years it seems fender is really going out of the box for once.

I like that jazz, but I'd take the tele bass

A Jazz with double J buckers and a Precision Tele with double mudbuckers?

Interesting. Most interesting.

I like the Tele bass and the Jazz. those are snazzy.

In the end, the only question is: what bass would Jesus play?

I think he's a Fender Jazz guy.

Effing cheap too! Which is always grounds for suspicion. I'm guessing these are Mexican?

I'd quite like that Thinline twin bucker tele.

And I'd prefer the Tele P over the jazz really.

Well, I like the Tele Bass and the Jazz bass is cool (though I much prefer the standard jazz pickups!).

But the electrics all seem a bit sub-par. =/
The Telecaster plus looks alright, and I kind of appreciate the 'new' pickup configuration on the Marauder. But other than that I can't say I'm the most impressed.

There are no words to describe my rage. I have wanted a telebass for so long, I'd given up. So I buy a different bass and WHAM.

I could give less of an eff about the basses...

But this trans-black Jaguar guitar just became my #1 GAS!!

Ugh... deciding between that Jag or an Epi Casino... curse this economy

^ I'm pretty much the same about this new stuff. I'd love one of those Jags, especially with a Bigsby, I wonder if there's one that would fit... Hmm..
But what the shit kind of body wood is Koto?

EDIT: Chinese hey... I dunno if still want, for that price anyway. It's pretty much a Squier with an upcharge for having Fender on the headstock.

The phrase is "I couldn't give less" not "I could give". Saying that you could give less implies that you are currently giving an amount.

And yes, essentially they are Squiers with Fender decals.

That's what happens when you change majors from linguistics to statistics.

Not dissing linguistics, but statistics is much more useful.

A guy I used to play with had a casino. The casino was good all the way through fuzzed out punk and post rock, just no metal if feedbacks a worry, but it was a great guitar

Really? Dissapointment... But at least it's an alder body and not cheap basswood or plywood. Can't be any worse than the blacktop series, which are pretty decent.

A Tele with a bucker on the bridge and a lipstick on the neck? Sounds like my kinda guitar. Do want

err...I mean...new basses yea *cough* cool

That telebass definitely needs further investigation. The jaguar bass however is just beyond belief. Are fender really just using the squier name a test bed for new ideas now?
