Getting kinda bored of the barre chords and power chords and i wanma expand and get different sounds out, anyone willing to tab out chords that work well in drop tunings? Please n thanks.

do extensions. i have one song where the chords (in drop C#) just go 8-7-3-2, so instead i did 8 8 8, 7 8 10, 3 3 7, and 2 3 5(2 3 2 on the backing guitar). if that makes any sense. its not hard and sometimes the subtle difference can change the feel of the song

Look at some Periphery and Veil of Maya tabs. Both of their works are usually very chordy and in drop tunings.

Just figure out where the notes are and you can figure out more but here's the first ones that came to mind
E|x-0-3-1--------------
A|3-0-0-1--------------
G|2-0-0-2-10-----------
D|0-2-0-3-10-15-16-14
A|0-2-2-3-12-12-12-12
D|0-2-5-3-12-12-12-12

In Order-
3 octave D powerchord (Easy shape to move around)
Em Chord (A little harder to move, but still doable)
Gmaj chord
Fmaj Chord
Dmin7 (Somewhat easy to move)
Dm (Very easily moved)
Dmaj (Very easily moved)
Dsus2 (Very easily moved)

1 - Learn to make chords yourself
2 - Be completely free of tuning related fuckery.
3 - ?????
4 - Profit.

Seriously, learn theory.

i agree with making your own chords.

try tuning DADDDD, or DADGDD
its a bit scary tuning your B to D, but you get used to it
those are my favorite two, and you can open strum to get a great sounding D chord, and make some awesome sounding stuff in the key of D with it. its really easy to make chords on too

thought id poke my head over here for lack of action over there
i stand by dadddd and dadgdd, D is one of my favorite notes, and those strummed open just sound amazing, especially on acoustic
