does anyone here use em?
im thinking about getting the lava cable pedalboard kit or a george l's or both.

do good pedal couplers make a noticeable difference since they are such short lengths and considering pedals themselves suck tone anyway?

ya the lava cable kit is really cool. one thing, is that you can make only 5 patches from the standard kit package. i needa buy more plugs to make more haha. i have lots of cable left, but i used all the plugs.

cool yeah its a little expensive but if its good ill get it.
i also read reviews of people saying the connections come loose, are they just doing it wrong?
also its a solderless kit but can you solder them anyway just so there is no chance of it coming loose?

they're doing it wrong. as long as you tighten it enough and you did it right, it won't come undone. i've had a couple come undone but it turned out i didn't make them properly.

The connectors are normally the weak link in any cable, whatever the length.

So I don't really know much about these kits, but I have a question as well. I have a really long cable. Like...unnecessarily long, and the connectors aren't that great. Would I be able to just buy a bunch of plugs and make patches from this cable if I cut off the ends? I could make an insane amount of patches...

I bought a big roll of Planet Waves cable off Ebay and when I need a cable I just grab a couple of connectors and knock one up. It's nice to have your cables all cut to the correct length (I use a rack so ......)

I just noticed the George L cables are very thin and I didn't know if a standard cable would be too big for the insert of the connectors. Thanks.
