A little piece I wrote this morning.

It is supposedly accompanied by some calm music.

Well, here goes! Enjoy (or otherwise)!

Separating Ways

I've been dreading the day,
When we will go our separate ways,
So that if ever we come back we'll walk together

And now that day is here,
I am trembling with fear,
Why can't we walk this broken road forever?

I wish
We'll meet again,
Our fate lies in your hands.

I feel
We've come so far
Why put it to end?

I spy your face beyond this wall
Our friendship was built to fall
A twirling rocky road of cool awaits me.

Maybe our paths shall cross,
But never will they come across,
A way to go alongside, now will they?

I've let the fire burn my hands,
I'll never go there again.
You made me see just what I am,
I think I opened up my eyes,
A little wider than before,
And if all above fails,
I think that I will see you still,
Inside my head you've built a base
Inside my dreams I'll see your face.

I've been dreading the day,
When we will go our separate ways,
So that if ever we come back we'll walk together

And now that day is here,
I am trembling with fear,
Why can't we walk this broken road forever?

Why can't we walk this broken road forever?

Supposedly? The lyrics seem nicely written anyway

Well, yeah. I mean, you can have whatever music you like in mind when reading it, the genre is not set in stone. If you think it would work better as an upbeat punk song or whatever, then it might become just that.

It feels pretty introverted and thoughtful, so I imagined an acoustic vibe when reading it
