Hi Guys,

I'm looking into buying an Orange PPC212OB, which as the name suggests, is an open back configuration. It's loaded with two Celestion Vintage 30 speakers, but I'm in a bit of a dilemma. I want to know if it would be worth trying to convert it to a closed-back cabinet, because I love the low-end punch from a closed back cab.
What I want to know is, what exactly do you need to do to make it as close to the closed back equivalent. Would it turn out well?
Just as an indicator, I play metal, so I need a big low end. If not, would using an EQ pedal to boost the bass do the same job?
Thanks a lot

you could go to a timberyard, buy some mahogany or whatever, and nail it onto the back. job's a good'un.

or if you don't wanna do that, i guess an EQ pedal will be adequate enough...
