I know it's sort of covered in the FAQ and it's a pretty stupid question, but how do you adjust the action on a Tele/Strat? Which way do you turn the allan key, toward the volume/tone knobs, assuming you're holding the guitar the way you would to play it. I just want to raise the action on the E string a bit. I tried it once before and screwed it up, so I want to make sure I'm doing it right.

EDIT: Maybe I should word it better. When holding a Tele in a playing position, to adjust the action do you turn the allan key clockwise or counterclockwise to raise the action?

Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Seriously though clockwise (as viewed from above the guitar) raises the strings, counter clockwise to lower.
