Hi,

I'm curious as to how people go about recording the acoustic sounds built into the Variax guitars.

Specifically, direct recording because I'm thinking about getting a Tyler Variax, and I won't be able to buy an acoustic guitar amplifier to mic up, so I'll need to go direct through my interface, and into Cubase.

Do you just record the signal raw into your DAW's, or do you pass the signal through an amp/cab plugin and effects to enhance it? I can't find an acoustic amplifier plug in anywhere and I'm not sure they exist.

I guess the same question will be relevant to people who have multi-effects pedals with electric to acoustic effect patches built in. How would you record those directly?
