As a graduation requirement for college, I have to do volunteer work. I thought why not play music? So I am going to play in an "Arts in Healing" program. The setting could be anywhere in the hospital, ranging from common rooms to patient bedsides. I am willing to bet most of these patients will be elderly. I need some suggestions for some songs that are happy, mellow, and will be appealing to many people. Could be on guitar, ukulele, or mandolin. Thanks.

Just don't play anything from their new album, because they'll likely commit suicide.

I think that's awesome. All BS aside.

Its one of those moments where you feel like you could name a million songs but you're just drawing a blank.

I'm gonna brainstorm this one and try to get back pronto. Nothing too sentimental ya don't want to make anyone already messed up, more upset.

Thanks! Nice to know there are a few people in the pit that actually think! Bravo, sir!

Beatles are always good. Maybe some Johnny Cash or Woody Guthrie. Maybe you could sing I Am My Own Grandpa, that makes old people laugh. It makes me laugh too, but it is an awkward song to hear at a concert when you are there with your grandparents.

On a more serious note, just play something everybody knows. If you don't suck, people will enjoy it anyway.
