Okay, my birthday is for like 1 month, so I'll either get a multitracker or a good mic + interface. Anyways, something to record with.

I just want you guys to tell me, when I have all the stuff needed (Reaper, mic, interface, multitracker, whatever), do I record by doing part by part (intro, then I record verse separately and so on) or I'm supposed to do the lead guitar all at once, and then rhythm? I'm really new to this, and I guess it's the 1st option.

Thanks.

Whichever you want. I don't know how easy that is with multitrackers, but with a computer based DAW, editing takes together is normally pretty easy if you played them well. Your best bet is to experiment and see which way you like working best.

There's really no rules in recording.
