"Currently a studio project between 2 long haired dudes from Australia".

The Helix Nebula are a "tech metal" band, consisting of a guitarist and bass player. They've got 3 tracks up on their facebook page which are really quite enjoyable, technical and awesome to learn as well. Hope you guys like it, check them out. Track 1 is a personal favourite of mine

Jake's an ok player but he tends to lose feeling with some of the passages and seems to try and make complicated parts just for the sake of it whilst sacrificing the songs integrity mainly track 2..

Track 1 is a great song, hope they do eventually finish it, I'd like to see him incorporate a more fluent rhythm feeling to it, you don't need to play low on the neck to be rhythm, but that's hard to do being the one guitarist of the band haha. But great mixing and recording there, bassist is great too.
