So if anyone doesn't know what it is, it is a jewish holiday I guess(It's not really a happy holiday), it's about forgiving yourself and making peace with those around you, during that time we fest and we don't use electricity or cars or anything, and it's starting 1 hour from now.

So to anyone who is festing good luck, and I know that an entire day without me posting would seem like forever to those who don't fest but fear not, it is just a day

See you tommorow!

Instead of not riding cars they didn't ride donkeys, you misunderstood me though, for us at this time it counts as electricity and cars, but then they didn't light fires or do anything that gives them happiness as this day is about forgivness, I'm just bad with explaining this you know I'm not a rabbi.

I'm not one of the extremists who spend all day praying, I'll just be outside walk around with friends just passing time, then I'll go to bed and I'll wake up hopefully tommorow when the fest is over.

So it's impossible to forgive stuff if you have electricity?
When some stranger on the internet says it is so, it must be so.

What would happen if you just used electricity anyway?

Nothing I guess, people take this time in a different way, some people don't care and just use the day off to do whatever they want, some people pray because they think it brings them closer to god and to heaven, to some people me hanging out with friends is just like eating and drinking, different people different customs.

There's a good chance that what I've written above is useless and if you take any of the advice it's your own fault.

Nah there is this thing that if you are in a life or death situation you are allowed to break sabbath or Yom Kippur, I don't know how to say it in english though.

And the many kids of Israel go out and ride their bikes on the freeway because there is no traffic.

That was the best part of the holiday.

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to put it, along with your other advice, into a book, the pages of which I will then use to wipe my ass.

Sounds pretty depressing. Where I hail from, a holiday = an excuse to get drunk

Well where I hail from, getting drunk = Spending an eternity in hell.
