So here we go, something a little different from what I usually do:

Recorded with my Agile 8-string, Slate Drums, Podfarm and Cubase.

I'm not sure how to describe it, because it's both regular metal and djent-ish post metal combined, and you're definitely gonna be surprised how the song progresses.

Enjoy, and drop a link after you've listened to mine and I'll crit your stuff back!

I like it but I'm not sure if you'd want to label it Djenty or post metal. T'was good nonetheless

Very solid for sure.
Could use a bit more leads?
but besides that, one solid piece.

Crit this song i've been working on recently?

The playing on yours is VERY solid, but I can't say the same for the composition, it seems to really be lacking flow, to me it sounds like two guitars jamming, and very little more. Especially without drums or anything it's very hard to follow it. But still, the playing and tones are excellent!

Yeah it's not supposed to be very structured in the fact that there is no choruses, nor too many repeating verses through out the song. I get what you're saying about it being hard to follow since there's no drums nor vocals not even bass on that track
since that's really what makes it catchy for this song when it's played as a band.
thanks for your input though will keep it in mind.Oh and if you don't mind me asking hows that 8 string?

C.M.,
The guitar riffs got my head moving, so that's a good sign! Fairly unique & good guitar tone. Bass & drums are good. Good audio quality on everything. I think more vocals would make it even better (or maybe some more lead guitar). Interesting/good vocals. Good ending. Sometimes a bit repetitive, but good overall! First off i liked the production of this track. The guitars we're a little too... I can only describe it as 'sharp', i dunno like a little too crunchy for me. But no doubt that it suited the style. Everything flowed together well. However in the intro (first 2 minutes or so) I would have liked to hear the bass guitar more, i can tell it's there filling in the low end but IMO a more audible bass tone would have helped to fill out the soundscape more, so my suggestion would be to turn the bass up and maybe up the treble a little too. It was less noticeable in the ending section.

Very tight playing and some interesting ideas (if not a little monotonous). I loved the riffs in the first half of the song. I definitely wasn't expecting the vocals, i was quite certain it was gonna be an instrumental. I couldn't tell what was being sung very clearly, but it certainly added to the sound.

I liked the use of dynamics in the track, from heavy breakdown-style to the emotional section.

So yeah i'd say the only issues are those tiny production details (also i just noticed at 3:15 the guitars cut out a little too suddenly, that's easily fixed though) and i would also suggest spicing up the ending section a little more, like adding another centre-panned lead track or I think some strings would even fit in there.

Still a very good track how it is. Nice job, keep it up mate

If you could check out my track too that would be great!
