Hey there. It seems when i have my Mesa on Channel 2, theres a variety of overpowering noises that come and go and I cannot quite put my finger on what it could be. I just put in new pre-amp tubes a couple months ago, but haven't changed the rectifier since i've bought it a yr ago. Could this be it? If anyone has any idea please share. Thanks

What preamp tubes did you put in?

Are they seated all the way down?

Have you tried spraying the tube pins with contact cleaner?

Does your amp also have the SS rectifier option?

Yes, it could be a rectifier tube.

Free bump for ya.

just to eliminate something, rectifier tubes are either working or not working (no sound).
