I'm considering getting a phaser pedal to use for ambient music and I'm wonder what are some decent pedals to consider. Right now, I'm considering an Arion sph-1 I saw at a pawn shop.
Here's a video showing what I want to use the phaser for:

Without a budget you'll get people recommending Moogerfoogers and all sorts of contraptions, like the Blackout Effectors Whetstone.

My price range would probably be in the $100 or less range. It'd be my first phaser and I'd really be seeing if I like the effect.

Pick up a mxr phaser and do the r28 mod it's simple reverseable and really sound great...

after comparing phasers for under $100 i ended up getting the Deltalab one. nice phasing sounds with plenty of control over the sound. it can be heard in my song The Land Unknown in my profile. the Arion isn't bad but the pedal is plastic so may not hold up much longer as it is from the 80s as it is.
