Hey UG,

So, i need some advice on where to begin looking for a new amp.

My current amp is a Fender Blues Jr.
I run a few pedals through it, but my taste have changed since i bought it.
I want something that can do Pop Punk and Rock well.

Music like The Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Blink 182, Green Day.

If possible i'd like it to be able to handle some heavier stuff. Escape The Fate, Newer Avenged Sevenfold.

My guitar is a Minarik Lotus. (Basically like an Epi Les Paul.)
I also own a Highway 1 Strat.

I'd like something that could maybe play the small gig, but mostly in home use.

Combo/Stack doesnt really matter.

Budget of up to $1000.00 US dollars.

Thanks guys(and girls)!

The JCA 50h and 2x12 or 4x12. They also make it as a 2x12 combo.

Bugera 333/333xl head and a diecent 2x12. also availabe in 2x12 combos. Also the new Bugera Magician combo (Mesa Mark clone)

If you look used you can get something like a Mesa Rectoverb combo or mesa Mark IV combo

^ Agreed.

Add a Peavey XXX/Jsx to that and you got a good start spot.

Peavey Ultra/XXX/JSX will do the job.
You can often pick up JCM900's really cheap and they'll do what you want well too.

That 2061 Marshall is a reissue of the 20W amps that replaced the 1974 18W'er. There isn't a lot of difference to the 18W'er apart from a SS rectifier and no tremelo but they don't sound as good. That would be a good one to own because it's a handwired reissue so it will be an eyelet board. That makes it easy to turn it into a proper 18W'er (apart from the rectifier) there's not a lot of differences.
