Hey I have a question for you who lived through the 80's.

How was metal back then? I mean when metallica, exodus, slayer, anthrax, megadeth, short said thrash bands formed and subgenres like Melodic death metal didn't exist (I'm mainly a melodeath fan)! How was thrash back then when the modern metal genres weren't there? Was it better than today, and todays metal?

Demented gig stories from the 80s and 90s are always good. Lots of gigs seem so tame these days.

I want to try that while playing the opening riff to "Tempting Time".

0-0-0-13-0-0-0-0-13 or something like that alalalala but It;s so heavy and off time and awesome and you could not f**k anyone to it.

Yeah, I agree with that - moshing has been pretty much outlawed in this town, unless you're throwing a house show.
