What's giving you GAS? If you like, make a list, or even a couple. Maybe, one list of dream guitars and one list of guitars that you could realistically see yourself acquiring in the next few years.

Realistically, I could see myself buying one of these in the near future;

And probably some sort of Agile 7-string.

On my 'dream' list, I'd really like a custom made classical guitar by a professional luthier, a high-end PRS, and one of these;

Post pics, people. Not for every guitar on your list though. It could get out of hand.

Carvin customs (carved top 24 fret), a 7, and a neck-thru
Ibanez 8 string
All with BKPs.

Carvin V3 and V3M, rack driven
Axe FX II

Carvin BX1500 (410 and 118 stack)
Carvin 5 and 6 string basses.
Steinberger 5 string

i like carvins

Maybe throw some BKPs in this mother and go to town... It's really the only artist signature guitar that I would consider getting.

Hmm... I may have gone a bit overboard...

This. But question, been trying to find a reference pic for a few days. WHAT FREAKING SADDLES ARE THOSE WANT. reason being is I wanna build my own custom 7 stringer.

Great list Rutch. On re-reading this one I'd have to say Solid State means not liquid or gas.

I figured it out.

I'm pretty sure they're either made by Ola, or custom made for him. You can buy the bridge from him, but it's pretty expensive. His website says it's about 400 Swedish Krona per string ($60 USD/string) and it includes the string lock.

Thanks to the image url, found strandberg at last. Never heard of his guitars but considering I'm GAS'ing hard for a Steinberger ST2-FPA, probably worth a look But upon finding the strandberg site, it's known as an EGS-3 bridge. Tremolo version runs around $525, so may end up springing for one of those someday. Seen em before but never knew what the hell they were called. From what I've seen, any guitar made with one of those has been of excellent worksmanship and played like a dream. Consensus: Write it down, amass a ton of money, buy one. Challenge accepted. Thanks.

Speaking of GAS, relative pic ftw.

Switchable between two EMG's or a bridge-mounted Piezo, retractable string dampener (SWEET), adjustable capo (WIN), baritone unless capo's set at second fret, then standard scale. want.

Ah, sorry. I didn't realize you didn't know about Strandberg.

I've known for a while bout the Steinberger travel-worthy guitar design, but was never too crazy about it, was still being sold by looks. Wasn't till very recently that I started checking them out for functionality and fell in love with the concept. Havent heard of Strandberg before but apparently seen a couple, just didn't know who made em. Sadly being a musician for 6 years doesn't mean I know squat about the instrument I play I know my axe but outside of gear I own, kind of in the dark.

Keeping relative to the thread, theres a ton of guitars I want. Here's one lol.

Totally with your guys on the blue/green PRS and the Mayones. If I won the lottery first thing I'd do is buy one PRS in each of their green burst finishes and one of every guitar Mayones make. PRS for classic, Mayones for modern, those two are the top brands for guitar porn.

I would say so. Great minds think alike!

I just wish I lived in Europe; all of the luthiers I want guitars from are there.

Holy crap, I didn't even realise I typed this in Dutch. It means: It seems like Pac man and I are fishing in the same pond. You understood that?

yeah, I guess so. I want 1700€ for it. So shipping + import taxes and insurance would render it way too steep.

I won't lie, I checked Google Translate to see what you said.

On a slightly random note: Dutch people are awesome.

I can't seem to ever shake gas, even after buying a guitar I've been gassing for for god knows how long, it always seems to come back after like a month

Here are the current ideas stuck in my head:
1.A warmoth Jazzmaster, routed for a hardtail bridge and humbuckers.

Something like that, but with humbuckers and a hardtail. I could actually see myself getting one of these within the next year or two.

2.PRS CU24

Let's be serious, who doesn't GAS for a prs?

3.EBMM Petrucci 6

A custom made PRS Singlecut, either Private Stock or local luthier. That would be in a looooooooooong time, because im poor. My next guitar is a MIAed PRS SE Tremonti. Basically, this moded to look like this, either with an adjustable wraparound or a rolling ToM.

And on the A(mp)ASing... anything not a modeling amp, especially not a spider.

Not particularly but the joke did come to mind while I was typing that.

@Theponz - YES on the prs and the jca. Always gassing for that exact finish prs no matter what new gear I get, I still think "awesome! still need a prs." but I'm tryin to arrange a trade with gc for a jca22, sent the email seein' if they still take used recording interfaces (digi 003 rack) for instore credit for that sweet piece of amplified ass.

edit: fixed lol.
