Well, pit. Which Bond film should I watch and why?

I would put a poll up, but it won't let me put up 22 options.

The one where they have a massive harpoon battle underwater. I think it's thunderball or something.

Sean Connery is awesome.

Daniel Craig as James Bond is awesome. Watch Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. The movies are connected.

I love On Her Majesty's Secret Service. Tracy being easily the hottest bond girl has much to do with it.

Love the last scene in that one.

Id say... either The Man With the Golden Gun, or A View To A Kill. Roger Moore, despite being a poor Bond, was in the better Bond films IMO.

Casino Royale is fantastic. I LOVE that film. Quantum is good, but it isn't a Bond film. Decent action film though.

My favourite is probably World Is Not Enough or Thunderball.

Avoid any of the ones with Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.
I shall grant you three wishes.

None of which will work.

Does the above post enrage, offend or confuse you?

Never really been a Bond fan. Played Goldeneye on N64, and watched a few Brosnan movies and the two Craig movies. Casino Royale is my favourite, because Daniel Craig is a bad ass.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Probably Casino Royale, Goldeneye, or From Russia With Love. Stay away from the later Brosnan ones, and a few of the Roger Moore ones are quite stupid as well.

Casino Royale, because it's the best bond movie ever; also watch it in Blu-Ray.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.
After you watch casino and quantum, it is impossible to watch any old bond film, because they suck HUUUUGE monkey balls in comparison

You are a bad person and you should feel bad.

Craig is good - saying Casino Royale and QoS aren't good films is madness - but Connery rules. If Connery had been playing that that poker game in Casino Royale, he would have won as soon as the game started, even if he had been given just that one card with the rules and copyright info, and an Uno Wild Card. He's just that fucking good.

And I can't pick. Casino Royale is fantastic, but Goldfinger, Goldeneye, and Dr. No... there's no picking.
#27
World Is Not Enough or Goldfinger.

No. No! No! No! Stop getting Bond wrong! I'll tell you about "The Spy Who Loved Me". All do that with your fingers round your eye. I am Roger Moore. Bang! Blood dribbles down. We're on a submarine. Two sailors sit down and have a game of chess. Then the cups start wobbling and then a man who used to be in "The Onedin Line" comes in and goes, "Why are the cups wobbling? What's going on?" And then... yeah, you can stop doing that now. And then he peers down the periscope thing and looks through it and goes, "Oh my God. The submarine's being eaten by a a giant tanker." And then we cut to Moscow. And there's a man there and he's Russian - he's got eyebrows, you know - and he's on the phone going, "What, a whole submarine? You're joking! I'm gonna have to tell some other Russians. See ya!" Right, and then, and then, it cuts to James - Roger Moore - and er, yes, he's with a lady. Yeah. Yeah. He's, he's necking with her. And he goes, "I've got to go, love. Something's come up."

Goldfinger is the quintessential Bond movie. But also watch these:

From Russia With Love
Casino Royale
You Only Live Twice
Live and Let Die

Those are all the James Bond you need.

Every word of this.

Roger Moore > Sean Connery.

And Timothy Dalton was a legend, his films were the best.
And Dr. No and Moonraker come in next.

Moonraker is the biggest piece of shit ever. Horrible. Roger Moore sucks ass other than Live and Let Die, which is just hilarious.

This.

I never felt that Daniel Craig had that "James bond charisma"

That being said: You Only Die Twice, just because of the stereotypical presentation of the Japanese.

Surprised at all the Timothy Dalton hate. I thought he was a great bond. I think Goldeneye is my favourite, and for the best cheese I think Live and Let Die. Its got a dreadful plot but its hilarious.
Was lacking a decent sig. Still is.

Actually I don't much like moonraker (even though it has the best moore one-liner ever... actually now i think of it it probably has the two best bond one-liners ever ), but moore kicks ass and most of his other films were pretty good too. He has the best one-liners by far. they're almost comedy films.
