So this is what I got: Fender Frontman 25R amp. I play an Epiphone Dot Studio. Now, the thing always overwhelms in the bass area. Like becomes real woofy. Then it reverberates in the metal in my room. I think it just can't handle the low end or something. So I can pretty much never flip to my neck pick-up. Really annoying.

Also would like to know a real good amp. Price is important but quality more so.

let's say $500-700
I play rock blues and fingerstyle mostly.

Combo or Stack, but I don't really know the advantages of stack. Though I assume it's more expensive? Been playing for 5 years but only ever had this little amp. My experience with amps is pretty much nothing.

And yeah, I've tried turning down the bass. Thought maybe it was the height of the pickup or how hot they are? They're stock and only half way distance to the strings. But my knowledge of this stuff isn't great.

Gigging. I want something semi professional, though my budget isn't that great.

maybe peavey classic 30/50 or the delta blues? those are all decent amps and would fit the bill.

Check out a JCA50.
Great amp for rock.

I'm not very good with blues amps though, so wait for someone else to give some suggestions.
But check out the JCA

I'd say the JCA is decent for blues on the normal channel.
