Im trying to take my baritone (tuned B-b) down 1 1/2 steps, but when I do, all the strings buzz massively. All I should have to do it TIGHTEN the truss rod right? I tightened it about 3 half rotations, which helped a little bit, but now much. I let it sit for 2 nights, but nothing. What else can I do? It IS a double-acting truss rod as well. What more can I do??

Im using D'Addario 14-68. Ernie Ball makes 13-72...would that be enough of a difference to go down to a G#??

If your gonna tune that low, just start playing Bass. I play in drop C in one of my projects and I really don't like going that low.

Hmm that's odd, a 68 should be fine in G#: I use between 56 and 60 for a low A on a 25.5 scale length.

Other than it being a neck/truss issue, the only other thing is that the action is too low :/
