I was going to make a thread in B&A, but I didn't know if it went in Hardcore, Pop Punk & Emo or Punk & Ska. Basically, hardcore bands with pop punk influences is what I'm looking for, and vice versa. I'd prefer the former, where their vocals and style is more hardcore and punk influenced with touches of pop punk. A good example is band I've been into since this summer called Over The Top.
Samples: http://overthetop.bandcamp.com/album/community
http://overthetop.bandcamp.com/album/never-a-night-alone
Specifically, the songs Never a Night Alone, Summer Ahn!, Sonny Rotax, etc.

Another band I've been pretty into is Four Year Strong, mostly just their most recent album. This one is more like pop punk with hardcore/metalcore type riffs, but I'm into a whole ****load.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c0G6pFc7lEc

And lastly, the least heavy of the bunch which is Ten Second Epic. Their first full length was awesome, everything following that except one song was balls. Still though, I'd like to find some bands similar to them.

The genre I've been told is "Easycore," but that sounds like a tentative title. But anything that sounds like these bands is something I'd be into, especially the first one. Thanks guys!

A Day To Remember are an obvious choice I'd say. I can't actually think of anymore at the moment.. Give me a minute.

Story of the Year?

I quite like them

Beat me to that one, I'm listening to them on Spotify right now
Yellowcard, The Used, Anberlin, Skillet (I think, I can't remember)

EDIT: I think I've just got into pop-punk there.

I always thought ADTR were more like post hardcore, but they actually fit the bill pretty well! I don't know how much flak I'll get around here for liking them, but thanks!

Set Your Goals, New Found Glory, and The Wonder Years.

I only like the last, but
Set Your Goals is a band I already listen to, but they're pretty much solely pop punk. The Wonder Years however is a band I've heard a lot about and haven't listened to. I'll check it out!

Interestingly enough, their vocalist has been compared to a dog barking through a distortion pedal.

And that was from a review of someone who was absolutely obsessed with them.

i still want someone to show me a converge song where the vocalist follows the lyrics. his vocals totally ruin the music, completely.

I only listened to like 20 seconds of two of those links, but before I clicked on anything I thought of this.
