Ibanez. I've never played a schecter though so i don't know....
"You're not hardcore unless you live hardcore"
The Ibanez...notice the name GRGA...meaning it is a GIO series, basically (cheapest garbage we make) I would say go schecter I know they are made well, but it is not as fast of a neck as the ibanez.
Hrmmm under $400 guitars with licensed floyd roses? I'd say run. Not many people think highly of the cheap licensed bridges. The edge III on the Ibanez isn't very good either.

What's your budget? For a little bit more, you can get the Ibanez S420 which comes with a very good floating bridge.
Fleet of MiJ Ibanez
Couple of Balls
Peavey & EVH Wolfgangs
Fender HM Strat
Kemper KPA
5150 III 50w & cabs
The Ibanez neck is brilliant
Or you could save up for an Ibanez RGA 32 (they've got a better neck)
If I were you, I'd go with Ibanez, but one that is just a little higher in quality. Like the RG350MYE.

Dont knke about the Ibanez, but the shcecter is not a shredder.

Jeff Loomis says otherwise

Personally I would go for the schecter. I think you can get alot 'warmer' tones out of a schecter, and better control from bends/vibrato. As for 'shredding', it'll take time and patience with it's fatter neck
