Hi Everyone,

I'm having a problem with my LTD H-1000 guitar. When I plug the guitar into either of my amps and use the bridge pickup, the sound is extremely thin and 'tin' sounding, almost as if the treble knob on the amp is all the way up, and the other knobs are down. It also seems to produce a lot more feedback than normal from the amp. If I switch to the neck pickup, it seems to be working fine.

Does this sound like a problem with the pickup, and can anyone suggest what I might do to troubleshoot further?

Thanks!

it sounds like some of the wiring may have come lose or something. Are the pickups passive or active?

Does the bridge pup have the option to be coil-tapped? It'll have four wires instead of two, and two of them should be stuck together. If they come apart, it'll make it sound like that inadvertently.

Only thing I can think of.
Gear
Highway One Tele (w/Custom Shop 51 Nocaster pickups)
Standard Tele (modded to Nashville specs)
Reverend Roundhouse

Orange Rockerverb 50 MKI
Vox AC4c1
Jet City JCA20H

And pedals!

Most likely this.
