Can anyone recommend some good strings for playing Drop B/A for when I get my second guitar? I use Ernie Ball Beefy Slinkies currently for Drop D, C and B and I find them a little loose for Drop B? I'd like as close to normal tension as possible in Drop B/A. D'Addario's website confused me, and I've never used heavier than the beefy slinkies.

cheers

How the hell you find beefy slinkys loose for Drop B is beyond me, but if you must, go up to not even slinky. That should definitely be enough to hold you over.

I use 12s (Not Even Slinky) on my Ibanez in drop B. They're perfect for it imo. The tension feels about like 9s in standard, only much bigger.

The only real answer to the SG vs Les Paul debate is to get a Flying V and laugh at all the suckers who don't have one.

if you embrace inaccurate intonation it can be quite arousing.

I've had tube amps for a while now, but never actually had any go down on me

maybe you're not saying the right things? an amp likes to know you care.
