I have come to really like Fenders, especially strats, and I would say my favorite strat is the new pawn shop '51 (not exactly a strat, but strat body). I think the feel of the tele neck on the strat body is amazing, and the pickups are superb. So what is your favorite guitar, and why do you like it?

id have to say charvels and les pauls are my favourite

Charvel bodies are too long imo

However, for me not much beats a Les Paul.

I am currently looking at getting myself a Thinline Tele,

I got one of those PRS Torero models, and I love it. After that I've really come to like PRS. I would love to get a custom 24, but they don't come with neck binding, which I really like. Then, a few months ago at Guitar Center, I played a McCarty 58 and I cannot wait until the day I own one. I also think an Ibanez PS-10 would be sweet. Not the modern Iceman, but the actual vintage models the Iceman is based off of.
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not

Gibson Classic SG...Those P-90s get me going And its a lot nicer than the new 60's Tribute cheapy model.

Have you had any problems with the neck on your riviera? Because a lot of reviews say the riviera has problems with the neck cracking.

I really dig PRSs, especially singlecuts. But this is probably the beautifulest thing ever(despite the floyd), altough this and this are quite astonishing.

No, I haven't had any problems with it at all... I've had it over a year now, I have a hard shell case for it where it lives unless it's being played... I gig with it all the time... Great guitar.. It's not for everything, but I Love the reaction I get when I strap it on to play some slow down and dirty blues...

I've had a neck problem with a 335 Dot, but not this one.. I hope I don't...

No favorite at the moment, but this is definitely a contender, as I'm sure it is with a lot of people.

The USA Charvels from a few years ago are my current favorites - I've got two. Probably the best sound for me and what I do and definitely the best feeling, most comfortable necks I've played.

I play a tele and really like it but I can't say it's my favorite yet because I also love the tone and looks of the jazzmaster and most gretsch hollowbodies but I've never tried playing any so I don't know if I'd like them more.
#20
I love the feel of Fender Strats but I also have a soft spot for hollowbodies like the Gibson ES 335.
#21
My current all time favorite guitar at the moment is the Charvel So-cal Stratocaster. I haven't played it, but it'll be my next guitar when I go in to buy one. I love the classic metal look of the Fender stratocaster body with the double humbuckers and Floyd Rose tremolo.

#24
Favorite guitar I've ever gotten to play was an LTD Gus G Eclipse model. Smoothest playing guitar i've ever picked up. If i wasn't saving for a bass, this would be next on my list of things to buy
#25
first off, those pawn shops are some of my favorite fenders.

second, i want every guitar in this threads. jesus.

my idea of perfect guitar changes a lot. I'm currently building my dream guitar of the day, it's a maple semi-hollow, the shape is sort of a cross between an Ibanez AX and a Jackson Dinky, with a roller TOM with rosewood base, a nice epiphone casino style trapeze and a single GFS NYII at the bridge

if I had to guess it's one of these
http://www.guitarfetish.com/Vintage-Style-Surface-Mount-Whammy-Bar-Hofner-Vibrola-style_p_839.html

there are some other companies that have sent these out but afaik guitarfetish is the only one that still has them in stock

word of warning, don't touch them. these things are terrible about friction, especially if you use anything other than a particularly nice roller bridge

My Blacktop strat is my favorite gigging guitar atm. My Epi lp has alot of sentimental value which means i worry about taking it out these days. It needs a refret anyway.

A "tubescreamer" is a person paid by a guitarist to stand behind the amp and scream at the tubes. This terrifies the tubes into overdriving and delivers a thick, harmonic-rich tone.

While they're not my favorite, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the late, great Blackmachine guitars yet:

I still regret not being able to snag one of the Gibson Alex Lifeson Signature ES-355 guitars:
