after all the tubes in my peavey windsor red plated i got a refund and went to guitar center. picked up a new egnater tweaker 40 head. this amp is AWESOME! nearly infinite tones out of this thing. perfect for my gig coming up doing cover songs.
i also got a yamaha s412 with flight case off craigslist for 300 bucks.

and check out the signature on the case. i dont think the seller knew who it was haha.

I wanna hear how it sounds through that beast of a cab

That's the advantage of being such a distance from Yianni. I can continue to live my life without fear of stumbling upon his dark terror.

How much headroom does that have? I tried the 15w (I think) and it sounded great dirty but i didn't care for the cleans too much.

Anyways, HNAD!!!

the cleans on this were nice but im not sure how loud i can get with them. im gonna be practicing with my band on wednesday so we will see but so far its sounded amazing and drives the cab nicely.

i could post clips this weekend cause my mics and preamp are packed up so i gotta dig them out.

then make a brief realistic review.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

^Cool. I'd be interested in how much headroom that thing has.

well its versatility comes from a tone stack switch to go from american to british and it has one called ac which is maybe trying to emulate vox? i find myself using the ac setting most of the time for playing experimental and prog rock. havent messed with the clean channel too much but it gets very clean kind of jangly and you can get alot of low end out of it too. the gain for each channel is intresting cause even maxed out its not unbearable but its all the gain you could ever need. i plugged in my ibanez v drop tuned to a# and got some thick deathcore and metalcore tones out of it. it does scooped mids well. i think the treble on this amp is lacking a little but nothing an eq pedal cant fix.
