So who else just received their LSAT scores today? Are you happy with it or sad?

Personally I am a little upset and have decided to rewrite, I received a 162 (86th percentile) which is good enough for 1 of the schools i'm applying to but not the other two, which want at least a 165.

Edit: the schools i refer to are Osgoode, UofT, and McGill.

Why do your scores matter? You already have a Ph.D

Ya but it's not recognized by Canadian universities because it is a self-appointed honorary degree.

Is that what it sounds like? If so, I'd like to be Prof. Dreadnought, Esq.

What school is it good enough for, Osgoode (lolyork) or U of T?

Osgoode, they want above the 80th percentile (which i would guess is 157-8ish, based off of memory). UofT wants at minimum a 165 and preferably higher (their average is 167 i believe).

All $23,000 of it per year. They also want a GPA (3.8) that's almost impossible to get at McGill (my undergraduate institution).

Wait, York, Canada? Humber River? Why can't we come up with original names for places instead of copying the best names ever.

Well York is called that because Toronto used to be called york and it's near york region. Also it's not Humber River, it's humber college.

What would you say is the hardest part? I'm looking to get at least a 172 or so when I do eventually take it if I wanna get into my target schools.

Good luck with that, a 172 is an extremely good score. It depends on your proficiency, my failing was I didn't study as hard as I could have, though the "arguments" sections are the longest and hardest.
