Check out the Ibanez TSA, has a built in Tubescreamer if you dig that kind of tone.

Wouldn't a 15w get a little 'dirty' for cleans un-mic'd for gigs?

why would you play a gig (perform) without a PA to mic it?

You can't control the mix if you don't mic everything...

Not all small gigs will have everything mic'd up.

Well, If I'm draggin the equipment out, it may as well be set up.. but.. thats just me....

I'm not bashin.... I'd say that a 15 w amp would probably still be loud enough for a very small gig... Wattage doesn't necessarily equal loud... but his budget is 500 for a tube amp, and he plays blues and Jazz and classic etc... I think this is a good fit.. thats all..

My point was that he wouldn't have a whole lot of headroom in that situation if he wanted pristine cleans. If a little dirt is fine, then yeah it would work fine.
