So I have been asked by some friends to teach their son guitar. He is blind, and I am more than happy to ! I just want to make it as easy as possible for him. So I talked to my mom about it and she told me about a type of tape you can put on the fret board of string instruments so you can feel it, but it doesn't effect the wood. I just wanted to know if anyone knew what kind of tape this is, or if anyone had any other ideas of how I could put something on the fretboard so he can feel them, that would be great. I can do without, I would just like to make it easier for him. Thank you for any of your ideas and responses !!

There's a number of amazing blind guitarists on youtube, you might want to try asking them for tips as to what helped them. Personally I've no idea about the tape, maybe some sort of raised dots at the 3rd 5th 7th 9th and 12th fret? On the side of the neck?
