So I was just playing, and came across 4 measures with one quarter note in each ( beat one in 4/4). Each note was weaker thàn the last. During the rests I had the strings muted. Before that I had been playing continuously.

All of this happend on distortion

What happened?

Why do I lose volume when I pause my playing?

Are the notes decaying too quickly compared to normal?
Have you tried a new/diffrent guitar cable?
you may have some wireing issues on your guitar.
Does this happen with every pickup position?
Are your pickups far from the strings?
