there is this video i stumbled upon with a metal version of the final fantasy fight theme and i gotta say i really dig the guitar's tone. specifically the guitar at the beginning (not the clean one at the end) and I'm really wondering how to get this tone.

i noticed that its the guitar tone that most music styles which don't have guitar in them usually use. what i mean with this is for example when you have those cinematic orchestra concerts which have like 6 seconds of electric guitar in the middle of the song. this is the same tone i think is used.

but the question is, how do i get it?

any tips?

BTW my amp is currently a Line 6 150W spider 2 2x12 combo so stuff i could do with knobs would be preferred advice but amp recommendations are also welcome

thanks in advance and sorry for wall of text if you didn't skip to the end.

Using your hand turn the knobs on the amp until it sounds exactly the same

Use one of the hi-gain amp models that doesn't sound too terrible.

low - 6
mid - 6
high - 7

gain - 5 - 7ish

Use a guitar with a decent rock/metal kind of a humbucker in the bridge

Try that. xD
