Just for fun. You've won a $20m lottery. You're gonna blow a few million on gear.
You've got yourself a Platinum card with $500K on it and you're gonna buy a guitar with it. The first guitar with your winnings.
What do you buy, oh what would you buy??

No crazy stuff like the famous Gary Moore /Pete Green '59 Les Paul or Jimi Hendrix's Flying V. Stuff you can actually buy today, money in hand, let's rock.
Don't say, I've got that much I'm going to buy these 5 guitars. This is ONE guitar. The first one with your winnings. I don't care about what you are going to spend your millions on, just the first guitar on your shopping list. Don't give me this OR that. ONE guitar, got it?

For me I'd have to say a nice sunburst '59 Les Paul.

Probz a Blackmachine B2. Of all the guitars I've owned/played over the years, that guitar still has the nicest feeling neck I've ever felt.

That Blackdroid I had was pretty hawt too. Too bad it sounded horrid

there's not a single guitar i'd buy without any modification to be done, even if it's as simple as a pickup swap, and even then unless it was an ibanez prestige, it'd be a carvin custom.

for basses, though...

But for that kind of cash I bet Melvin would sell you peter's old guitar.

I would order a Custom Les Paul by my favourite luthier too but this is the first new guitar you're gonna stick in your new studio. I'll allow waiting for postage but wouldn't it be better if you got it today? You've got a buttload of money and you want something to take home TODAY!!! You're excited, you're not gonna wait for a guitar to be built and not get something amazing in the meantime are you? You may drive across the country in your new Ferrari or fly to Europe to get it but you're gonna go now aren't you?
So it has to exist NOW!

Well then that's the one I'd grab, obviously. But let's assume the lowest denominator, not everybody would even know where to go. Let's keep the particular guitar out of it and just make/model/year and such. A realistic purchase for anybody with half a mill to burn who wants a long desired guitar real quick.

+1, plus I don't need something custom build, that Fender has everything I want...

Edit: I know it's custom shop but that model is already in stock in some places. It's gonna be mine! Mark my words guys...

You can only pick one, Min. You'll probably buy both and many more but which first? - that's the game. Choose.

A custom left handed hollow PRS, ESP, musicman (?) or Ruokangas.

Probably a Ruokangas.

for me thats the same thing.. if you cant buy a '59 les paul played my gary moore why can you get a '59 les paul? anyways i'd get a custom made les paul after i bought a nice car and a villa. really why would the first thing you buy be a guitar? i already love the ones i have so its not that i need that as the first thing.

Probs a '59 les paul.
Or some other vintage les paul.

But really what I would do is go to every music store I can, and buy everything that plays/sounds good.
RIP Gooze
