I was looking for an underground old school 80s style metal and came upon this two guitar band called "State of the Art" from Fort Smith, Canada on youtube and later; facebook. Some fans have put up some live bootlegs on the band's facebook. They play melodic but mean guitars. They play really great live and you can tell they have really spend some consider time with their respective instruments. I must say they play some finely picked cover songs too, for the kind of music I like anyways.

These are some cover songs and I mean some, that they play live.
"Highway Star"
"Hallowed Be Thy Name"
"The Green Manalishi"
"The Four Horsemen"
"Aces High"
"Black Betty"
"Creeping Death"
"Let There Be Rock"
"All Nightmare Long" and more just like the records.....hey..I'm just pointing out what kind of band they are and their original music is mix of those put together. The riffs are like both North American heavy metal and NWOBHM. The lead guitars are really thought out and melodic.

Cool stuff! I really enjoyed Simpleton, and thought the solo from like 1:30 onwards was awesome! Great playing on the other tunes I listened to as well.

Would you mind repaying the favour and giving us a listen and a like on Facebook here:
