It's a simple nine note pattern cycled through the minor pentatonic in A, here are two cycles through:

a|-------------------------------------------------------
e|-------------------------------------------------------


So the first cycle ends on the third A and the next starts on the C after that. Past that he just keeps shifting it down until he wants to stop.
