honestly, it sounds like a squier plugged into a fender amp. you need a better quality recording to make this even remotely feasible.

the recording quality is pretty decent, it's really like if you were beside me to hear it, there was no change at all.

The volume is quite low unfortunately

sounds kinda like guitar....possibly plugged into an amp....don't understand the point of this topic (or the other one you made)

You recorded it with a handheld recorder sitting right in front of you didn't you?

sounds like you've been playing for about 2 years.

Piano dick had some good parts, but should have said "As the business man slowly gets boned", would have accented the whole dick feeling of the album

Well it's what I said. I'd like to know if it's easy to spot my gear with my tone. A lot of you on these boards are very knowledgable on guitar tone and gear so I figured I'd ask

Recorded with a iPhone 4, that's all I have.

The guitar playing is really sloppy but it's because I recorded in a hurry.

we maybe can, when it's proper recorded...

as the others tell you: it's not good recorded!

It's like a picture, if you have a bad resolution, you can't make proper pictures. but when you have a professional setup for camera and you can make pictures, you can see it..

I thought the sound quality was pretty good Damn. Well I don't have a Shure SM57 or anything like that unfortunately. It's all I have.

Would it make that big of a difference?

Hello all,

I'd like to know if my guitar tone is recognizable. Can you identify my gear with this tone sample ?
http://soundcloud.com/alans056/guitar-tone-test

Guitar and amp.

Thanks!

PS: You may want to turn up your volume a little.

There is no point in this thread. If anything it should be in Recordings or something.

You could have at least turned up the amp. I can hear the guitar strings over the amp.
