I couldn't find a thread directly on topic. Also, feel free to move this if it's not Pit material.

I recorded several guitar, bass, and (electronic) drum tracks over an already existing song. I'd like to post it, but I wonder if this violates UG's policy. It's not a full cover such that I redid the song in its entirety. In fact, the entire .mp3 of the original song is intact, but there are multiple instruments added over the top. Could someone help me with this?

And to preempt all the wannabe legal experts from telling me the song is copyrighted, I already know. It would be copyrighted whether the original track existed or not. My only question is whether it violates UG's policy to upload the track.

Thanks a bunch.
