I bench about 150 pounds. I don't think that is very much but people tell me that I look strong. How much can you bench?

i weigh 149 lbs and i can do 8 reps of 200-205 with my triceps/shoulders engaged in the workout. recently i've decided to switch up my form so i use less of my triceps/shoulders and workout more of my chest...with this new form i had to drop to about 145-150 for 8 reps, but it'll go up quick once i get used to the form.

The highest I hit was 180, which was about a month and a half ago. Since then, I've been sick twice, have only been to the gym once, and have hardly been sleeping. So right now, probably only around 150, maybe even less.

i have been going to the gym every day since coming to S. Korea (no family or friends = finding things to reduce insanity). currently i am up to 230 (3 sets of 10... although the 3rd set is usually not 10)

Max was something over 100 lbs. Haven't had much luck with it. Doing a hard reset now, though, with much better technique than when I started out. Should be increasing to over 100 lbs in 1-2 months.

Nearly up to my bodyweight in squat and deadlift again after a few months break.

I have been focusing on running lately, so I am sure it has slipped a little, but I could bench 225 lbs 2 months ago, and I weigh 175.....doing benching pyramids religiously helps get your max up quickly....my dream is to be able to dead-lift and then shoulder press 200 lbs haha

i used to be able to go 190 in highschool and i only wieghed like 150, but i havent worked out much after i graduated and i am getting fat, so im guessing maybe 145 now.
IT'S OVER 9000!!!!

I'm currently doing about 130-ish in my standard workout, nothing particularly special. That's my comfort zone where I'm not pushing myself too hard. I could probably do more but I go for less weight and more reps.

If you're talking about my absolute maximum before I go "No way, can't even do one rep", then God only knows. Never found out.
I shall grant you three wishes.

None of which will work.

Does the above post enrage, offend or confuse you?

Good.

Just over 100 lbs. But I'm a small guy in frame and have been slacking big time lately.

My last bench in high school was 300 lbs. I weighed 215 pounds.

Now, in my first semester of college, I just had trouble doing 20 tricep pushups.
It's been a long few months.

That is what a max is, good sir.

A better show of strength is how many pullups you can do. I can do 10-12.

So if I was hanging from a cliff, I could save myself 10 times, because I'm a swole as **** beast.

But then again, if a 140 pound elephant sat on me, we could all probably save ourselves because we're all swole as **** alphas.

Not really, lighter guys like me have it way easier than heavier people.

I can do way more pullups than my fat friend but he annihilates me in bench and could kick my ass

Used to be 205 last summer when I was 145 lbs. Probably 135 now because I stopped lifting last year too.

I hope it was a girl UGer, preferably a cute one. That makes it okay, like cutesy okay. Kind of lame otherwise.

Yeah, I was in the same category. The last time I benched, it was in sophomore year of high school, and I did 140 while weighing 120. I now weigh 140, but I think I can take on like 200. Have to strengthen my wrists first though - I can't do pushups because the flex hurts too much. Have to do knuckleups...

I voted 45-100, but then realised that I haven't checked my maximum, and I usually lift 100-ish 5x5, and could probably lift a 20-30 extra pounds...

EDIT: I haven't been exercising in two months though... I keep telling myself to take it up again, and hopefully I'll get the motivation to do so soon.

Probably about 30 Kgs.

Yeah I've got no upper body strength, and I'm quite fat too so that reduces my stamina for bench pressing: not that I really care or anything

EDIT: I love how everyone claims they can do THIS many reps and THIS amount of weight: it's like they actually keep a record of how amazing their strength is
When I go to the gym, I don't give a fuck what weight I am bench pressing at, or what weight the free-weights are at or anything else - I just go for the workout and for the feeling I love to have when I know I've exercised my ass off!!
I hope it doesn't seem, like I'm young, foolish, and green.
Let me in for a minute, you're not my life but I want you in it

I do 80 kg(screw your pounds) normally, if I gave it everything I got I probably could reach 90 kg.
