could wiring a WZ34 instead of a WG34 wreck the tube?

more specifically one of Ted Weber's Copper caps. i have chased down the rectifier circuit everywhere, voltage seems fine until all across the board, and there are no faults. without rectifier plugged in, i dont blow a fuse, soon as i plug in the rectifier, the fuse blows.

There's just a few diodes inside. It's not going to blow unless something else is wired wrong.

There shouldn't be any voltages in your amp without the rectifier plugged in. There should only be ac on the secondaries
