The first:

I think it's by Children of Bodom and the only way I'm remembering is by a theme that goes something like this.

F5 Eb5 Ab5 G5 F5. I'm just assuming those are the chords because CoB tune to drop C.

The second:

- From the seventh episode of Torchwood: Miracle Day [the one with Angelo]. It played quite a lot during the action scenes and I distinctly remember wondering why the composer thought an electric guitar would fit in well in the 1920s.

Got any ideas?

Nah I'm pretty confident that the song I'm searching for is CoB, as I heard it playing during an Alexi Laiho interview.

To be more specific, the theme had the first four chords played with staccato and were crotchets.

maybe post a link to the interview if you can find it?

I can't find the link.
I remember asking the name of the song in the comments, but no one's replied.

i think there was a thread in the metal forum asking the same thing recently.
There's no such thing; there never was. Where I am going you cannot follow me now.
#7
That was probably me. I thought there might be some CoB fans in there that would know.

I was paying more attention to the interview, but I think that it was from the verse.

I was just about to type exactly this.

OT: Can't help you there, I'm interested in what you meant about the second piece though.
