What is the best, most comfortable way to sit with a les paul for you guys? I can't seen to get it right, every position is just uncomfy
#2
I usually either let it rest on my right leg, where the contour sits on top of your thigh, or put it against my left, while elevated, with the bottom resting on my right leg (like a classical guitar).

I can never get it to work in classical position, like I can with my strat (or with my classical guitar,) so I just rest it on my right leg. It isn't ideal, but it's not terrible.
#4
i rest it on my leg leg(im left handed)
but i have tha tproblem with lp they dont feel comfortable so i tend to not like them so much
cept the ibaez art series...they just feel nice to me

Put the contour on your right leg
Be comfy
???
Profit!!!

Also, at least it's not a V-shaped guitar.

I love a Dimebag tone just as much as anyone else. I'm Definitely considering a spider.

Honestly though, I switch from one leg to the other.... to wear my back out evenly. I prefer to stand.... with a strap of course.
#13
Just like any other guitar. Resting on my left leg (I'm left handed) where the contour rests nicely on my thigh.
I shall grant you three wishes.

None of which will work.

Does the above post enrage, offend or confuse you?

Good.

I like my women how I like my guitars. Curvy and like it when I finger them.

Classic position. Right handed player places the waist on the left thigh. I usually use the strap at the same time as a safety and then I can alos rise to standing position whenever I want.
Moving on.....

You didn't even give it a chance though.

Classical... though I've found I play lead a lot better in that position.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

I have skinny legs so whenever the contour's on my leg, the neck is to close for comfort to my left leg.

that said, I've only used a Les Paul style guitar for a total of 30 minutes in my entire life.

I use a footrest, I like sitting classical style for stuff like sweep picking or sit regulerly for other stuff.

I sit with all guitar the same way. Between my legs like you would with a V shape guitar.
For me it is the only comfortable way to site with a guitar.
