So,
I decided that it's time for a new amp.
My budget right now is roughly 600 euros (826 dollars). My style of music is mostly Pink Floyd, thrash metal (Metallica, Anthrax), some prog, and loads of cleans.
Being able to use a footswitch is essential, so is having channels so I can switch from Gain to clean with a footswitch.

I live in Germany, I play mostly at home and some jams and roughly 8-10 gigs per 2 months.

My gear:
Fender Mustan III (4 cabled)
Boss GT-10

My guitars:
Fender SRV (Texas specials)
Music Man John Petrucci BFR (Passive pickups as well)
Ibanez S7420 (Stocks, soooooon switching to EMGs probably)
ich bin indeed ein sprechender panda, how are you?

I'd highly suggest a Carvin V3 - it seems you're looking for a lot of versatility and that amp has it in spades. They're $850 USD new, but you can find them used for under $600 USD which leaves you enough left over for a 2x12 cabinet.

I prefer a combo, but i'll check that out too <3

I've also considered eleven rack, seems pretty solid (I always wanted to buy Axe FX but bought a guitar instead), and would be quite good for college headphone sessions. any ideas?

EDIT: snap it's a bit too expensive for me.

You might consider the Blackstar HT 20 combo; great cleans, gorgeous "in the middle" tones, and a lot of gain and EQ control for leads/metal. Also check out the new PRS SE 20 if it's availible in your country. Also, maybe give a look at the newer Orange Dark Terror.

I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
