I'm shamelessly stealing this for the Terrible Art thread.
An Augmented 4th or a Diminished 5th?

You know "art" is bad when the janitor mistakes it for a mess on the floor.
I'm rgrockr and I do not approve of this message.

I could make a smaller version of that using Popsicle sticks.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing.

You know we could probably make a fortune picking up all the arts and crafts from elementary schools.

I believe the "idiots" are the people who would spend a million dollars on "art".

Admittedly that is a ridiculous price for that, but I see this kind of shit all the time on this website.

Whatever.

I saw this on a different site the other day. The first picture only showed the bottom of it. I thought it was a picture of the bucket used to clean it, until I saw the rest of the trash.

In case you're missing the point: A janitor cleaned up this art installation. What else is there to say?

Just my humble opinion, but that thing is not art.

Thank god the owner agreed it can stay on display!

Is it worth more or less if you throw a sheet over it?
Smile when you say that.

This. I'm glad this wound up on the first page, because I was expecting like three pages of this shit before someone said anything.

No, first you must be worth a fortune.
Not sure if a sig is a necessity.

I personally hate modern art as some of it looks like anyone with elementary school art under their belt can make it. But that doesn't mean others can't appreciate it. It's like music, everyone could listen to classical or jazz because it's so musically advanced, but their's still a ton of people that prefer simple, catchy riffs.

Except the stuff you think looks elementary is the advanced stuff, and the fancy portraits and shit is the easy stuff

It amazes me that you value a bunch of wood sticks.

I bet the artist was sitting down one day eating fudge pops and goes, "HEY! I can make art out of this garbage!" Next thing you know, he convinced some rich bozo to pay millions for it.

It's amazing to see that a forum full of musicians will go 'hurr durr that aint no art'

Art is subjective, as is music. "Good" art is something that can either tell a story, or portray an artist's viewpoint/emotions.

I also think that art looks like crap.

Modern art is like jazz--it's the art they don't make that you appreciate.
