I'm debating with a friend which is more unhealthy. I'm arguing that the wine is more natural, while sparkling grape juice is clear full of refined sugar.

What does the pit think?

If it's red wine, it's deffinately better for you. That depends on the amount you drink, of course.

In small quantities wine is probably healthier, in larger quantities sparkling grape juice.

isn't having a glass of wine every once in a while healthy for your heart?

Even as much as a drink a day can help your heart and brain. You can even spike up to three drinks (of wine), but it runs on a j-curve, so, more than that and its more detrimental than healthy.

One glass of red a day I believe. Supposed to reduce chances of heart attack or something like that.

The research this belief is based on is flawed, but a glass a day is generally not going to be bad for you...

Keep drinking it constantly and see which one kills you first.

That won't stop idiots from believing it though

TS, the call is easy to make. One is full of liquid poison distilled from plants that could kill you..... and the other's wine.

My teacher's father once had a detrimental heart condition that was deemed incurable, he had a glass of red wine every day for like 6 years and it got cured.

Alcohol is good for you, children.

Neither is unhealthy in moderation.

But if the stuff about red wine being good for your heart is true, then I guess it would be the less unhealthy choice.
