My rig right now at home is a Peavey Millenium (active pups) and a Fender Rumble 150. When I'm using the bass, and I boost the treble knob (on the bass's onboard eq) I get this loud crackling sound that pops sometimes. It's especially bad when the horn is turned on. Is the problem with my amp, or do I need to fix the wiring in my bass? Please help.

If the crackling occurs when you're actually turning the treble up then it's likely to be a wiring problem with the bass. Should be easy enough to fix.

Well it happens when I am turning it up, but then when I leave the knob alone, it still crackles and pops.

I had exaclty the same problem with a p bass a while back, just bring it to a tech and get him to take a look, like Justphil said it would be an easy fix.
