got a new mxr 108 fuzz recently...it seems to not like being in my pedal chain that much.
It is pretty quiet...then I turn on my holly grail and it is a huge boost.

Why would this be?
I guess my only solution would be to put the fuzz all the way at the end of the chain?

I'm not thinking all the way through yet, but are you by any chance putting all of this through an effects loop?

Nope,..no effects loop.

Generally you put effects like distortion at/near the end of the chain because it's easier for modulation effects (chorus, phaser, etc.) to process the clean signal instead of a distorted one.

As for why your holy grail is boosting it so much, I can't really help you.

Impedance missmatch?

...stuff like the holy grail is designed to go in your guitars amps fx loop. Try it through an amp with a loop.

I have never had any problems with the holly grail with any other pedals....the MXR is new and I recently put a clone EH LPB2 pedal just before the Holly grail.
