I play all kinds of music, not really into metal that much though. I need a guitar decent for gigging and decent enough for recording. I don't care if it has dings n scratches so I wanna go used. I have about $500 and have no specific brand I want. I do enjoy guitars that are out of the ordinary like easywood guitars(jack white used one in the white stripes). So yeah, go crazy and suggestions apreciated. Also I live in Wisconsin so try and provide places/sites I could fing the guitar.

Carvin. End of thread.
Custom guitars, vintage amps, boutique pedals. Blah, blah, blah.

Carvin makes some very affordable stuff -- particularly considering how well made they are.

How about some Schecters?

Have you checked out your local craigslist?

Do you live in Milwaukee or anywhere near Brookfield?
If so Cream City is a place worth taking a look.
