I saw a video on youtube of a guy who used paperclips on the bridge (that resonated with the strings) to create a sitar-like, metallic sound. Has anyone tried this? Does it sound good? Is there a more solid way than using paperclips to create a permanent metallic sound for your guitar, alike a resonator guitar?'

Just wondering what your experiences with that are

Because sitars are expensive and you need to learn how to play it...

You could try making something like the gotoh electric sitar bridge. It's basically a bridge that has a metal plate underneath that the strings buzz against. It's all about getting it set just right to get the sound without deadening the strings.

all of those sound whack, but in their own way . plus, sitar is often associated with psychidelic which is rad.
